Jay R. Schneider

Jay's Bio

Jay Schneider has been active in commercial real estate in Phoenix since 1990 and has been the president of Frontera Development in Phoenix for the past fifteen years. Mr. Schneider has been involved in 24 million square feet of Shopping Center related transactions. He has completed transactions in ten states. He and his partners currently own 300,000 square feet of retail in three states, and he has new developments in the planning stages in four states. Mr. Schneider is also a partner in Frontera Building Company. This construction company was founded in 2008 and has been involved in a broad spectrum of projects including a number of restaurants. His industry affiliations include International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Valley Partnership, and REIAC. Mr. Schneider has been an active restaurant investor for the past 22 years.

Mr. Schneider is a graduate of Arizona State University and since 1990 he has had the following community involvement: Memberships in Phoenix Science Center, Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Zoo, Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Desert Botanical Garden and Leadership Circle for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Scottsdale Active 20/30, Scottsdale Boys and Girls Club, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona, The Arizona Educational Foundation and The Thunderbirds. He is currently on the Board of The Sun Devil Club and he is a T-Gen Ambassador.

Mark Holinger

Mark's Bio

Mark Holinger is a partner at Frontera Development. He is experienced in real-estate development, real-estate brokerage, and retail representation. Before joining Frontera Development in 2004, Mark had the opportunity to be a part of RED Realty Advisors, CB Richard Ellis, and John’s & Company. Mr. Holinger’s experience includes tenant representation, retail site selection, retail operations, development of new, grocery-anchored developments, sale of outparcels, and investment sales of shopping centers.

Mr. Holinger attended the University of Wyoming and Arizona State University and completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. Mr. Holinger is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Amanda Hope, and Brophy’s Men Club. He is married with three children.

Steve Lenz

Steve's Bio

Steve Lenz has been one of three partners at Frontera Development, LLC since 2004. He is also a member/partner of Frontera Property Management and Frontera Building Company since their beginnings in 2009.

Mr. Lenz’s experience encompasses many facets of real estate, from development and construction to property management and brokerage; as well as lending and restaurant operations. His work history includes firms such as Ebert & Rehorn, RED Realty Advisors, Consumer First Funding, and Sushi Brokers. His participation includes new property acquisition, conducting and coordinating due diligence of site acquisition, and directing many aspects of the development process.

Additionally, Mr. Lenz is involved in overseeing the leasing and marketing of existing developments, all aspects of property management, and working with brokers and agents in securing and documenting new tenant leases. Steve is actively involved in the marketing and sale of commercial properties and developments, representing landlords and tenants in commercial real-estate transactions, and coordinating exit sales and closings throughout the real estate process.

Mr. Lenz attended Arizona State University and completed his Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

David Bonsall

David's Bio

David Bonsall has been the Director of Development for Frontera Development, LLC since 2005 and a partner in numerous developments. He has been involved with the development of over 800,000 square feet of retail projects in three states. His involvement includes design procurements, city entitlements, lender procurement, construction management and tenant turnover.

Mr. Bonsall founded Frontera Building Company at the end of 2008 and is the Managing Member and majority holder. Since inception Frontera Building Company has gained experience in numerous facets of the construction industry including Retail, Office, Restaurant, Medical/Dental and Multifamily.

Born and raised in Phoenix, David and his wife are raising their two boys as 4th generation Phoenicians. He earned a Civil Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a Life Member of the Executive Council, a volunteer organization supporting youth organization and other selected charities for more than four decades.

Cuffy Pfaff

Cuffy's Bio

Cuffy Pfaff started her career with Frontera Development shortly after graduating from Arizona State University in August 2005. She began as a real estate assistant and quickly moved into her current position of Director of Operations. Cuffy loves the challenge of her position and the variety of projects and task she oversees.
